History of the Slovak hunting and fishing
According to archaeological findings and historical data recorded Ancient Slavs who lived on the territory of present Slovakia, hunted beast using a bow, spears, nets and various traps. Human hunted for food but also targeted hunting on fur animals whose fur was rare.
The first written mentioning of hunting dates from 1075. It is the deed abbey in the Svätý Beňadik which gives the right to hunt and fish.
